Rags to Riches enables two students to indulge in the experience of preparing for prom and to attend the event with confidence. High school seniors are invited to submit an essay that expresses their need and desire to receive the scholarship. Based on essay responses, a male and a female student are selected to receive the Rags to Riches experience. Both students receive formal attire, shoes, hair care services, a prom ticket, professional pictures, and dinner. The young lady also receives a makeover that includes a manicure, pedicure, and make-up service.
